Like many other sites, the “BadgeApp” had problems on Feb 28, 2017. This was due to problems within Amazon services (specifically S3 and other services that depend on it). We missed getting a project_statistics data point, but that’s not really a problem for us (we use the statistics to see overall trends, and an occasional omission doesn’t affect that).
As far as we can tell, everything is fine now. Sorry for the disruption.
We don’t plan to make changes at this time; overall the systems we depend on have been relatively reliable, and they’re making changes to prevent a recurrence. Stuff like this happens.
