For those who don't know, Blender is a free and open source 3D creation suite, whose website is <https://www.blender.org/>;. Some videos made with it include "Big Buck Bunny" and "Sintel" - see https://www.blender.org/features/projects/

There are a *lot* of people who use Blender, so this is a big deal.

FYI, If you search for "Blender" you'll also find an older incomplete attempt to get the badge at <https://bestpractices.coreinfrastructure.org/projects/153>;. That's obsolete, so I expect that will be deleted soon.
